smogon doesn't have ORAS' mega stones or proper orb images uploaded from what I can tell, so I had to compromise:
Other miscellaneous images not on PS or smogon:

also ash pikachu's little z move isn't mentioned, not sure if that's intended or not.
also x2 how'd "beware" > "bewear" get through 2 gp checks >:(

uh oh

this is fine otherwise ScarfWynaut but (also as a note for the future) can you change the puush links in the html to smogon urls? seems most intuitive to put them in the articles sprite folder, so e.g. for sablenite this would be /articles/images/sprites/sablenite.png. any images need to be uploaded to the smogon site anyways, so better to just put in smogon urls right away and take out the extra step.

Darkprophet per DHR's post in the reservation index I'm gonna go hold off on uploading this for now if you want to update this for USM? We can just GP the new parts and add them to the HTML, and it doesn't make sense to upload the SM version now already when those are no longer the current games anyways.

Sure thing! Now, for item differences in locations, i'll make separate notations on each item on where to obtain in each game and such. I'll start working on this!

Updated Z-Crystals, Mega Stones, Pokeball, Evolution Locations, Move Tutors, added in Forme Change Items and Forme Change Locations. Need to add Sprites still, will add on my next update. Next update will also include new Gift Pokemon, and new In Game Trades.

Appologies for the delay, I will have this done on Sunday by the end of the day, and will be ready for Q/A afterwards unless anyone has suggestions for more information I should add.
Just a thought but how about a section on mons with their moves to use for SOS chaining? Been working on a HA Heavy Beldum capture project lately and was having issues with Take Down so someone (can't remember who) on the SQSA wifi thread suggested a false swipe Ghost mon to counter it. Wouldn't have thought of it myself and I don't think I've seen anything written on mons/sets/teams created specifically for SOS chaining.

Suppose I'm saying how about a section for showing proven SOS chaining strategies where the focus is general chaining and not a how to iv train? If it's too much for this article then maybe a separate one?

Been working on a HA Heavy Beldum capture project lately and was having issues with Take Down so someone (can't remember who) on the SQSA wifi thread suggested a false swipe Ghost mon to counter it. Wouldn't have thought of it myself and I don't think I've seen anything written on mons/sets/teams created specifically for SOS chaining.

Suppose I'm saying how about a section for showing proven SOS chaining strategies where the focus is general chaining and not a how to iv train? If it's too much for this article then maybe a separate one?
Since this is General Tips and Tricks, I feel like something like SOS Chaining should get it's own guide. I could add a section if enough people want it here, but, I feel like it's a complicated enough subject that could use a whole separate guide.

On the subject of the completed content of the guide, ALL sections of the guide except for the very beginning section for easy money have been 100% been updated. Easy Money items I can have finished on Tuesday March 27th by the end of the day, and then this guide will be ready to be QA'd again.

I really don't like the Battle Royal for BP. I know it's technically the "easiest" because you don't have to try, but it's so inefficient that it's not worth it. If you have mons that can battle the Tree is much better, if you don't have mons to battle with then do Mantine Surfing.

everything else looks fine.

Agreeing with cant say here. If you want easy BP, I'd rather just do Tree or Mantine Surf for efficiency (2/3 minutes of sacking Pokémon for 1 BP isn't very efficient at all). The Royal 1 BP method might be more worth it on regular SM if you dont have the Pokémon to do Tree, but even then it's more worth it in the long run to just build your Tree Pokémon and playing it with suboptimal gear until you get what you need.

Everything else looks okay.

Agree with the above. Tier 2/3 Mantine Surf is a lot more efficient than having to go through all the Royale stuff for 1 Battle point. Hell even 10 fights in the Battle Tree and losing probably still comes out ahead.

Also under Effort Values, its probably worth mentioning Pressing Y while looking at the Pokemon's stat stage will "sparkle" on a 252 EV'd stat.

Under Move Tutors, its probably worth mentioning if any of the moves have a Happiness parameter related to their teaching.

Under Evolution Locations: Can you re-organize so all the specific Pokemon are next to each other via their locations? Might be a bit of an easier read, as I cannot currently understand the ordering you have gone for (seems rather haphazard). Also please mention that Crabrawler is now able to be evolved at the "Base" of Mt Lanakila in the grass infront of the lift, and you do not need to be on top of the mountain as you can access this area in USUM, but not SM. It's probably also worth clarifying that Own Tempo Rockruffs are what evolve into Lycanroc Dusk.

Other than that this looks awesome, thank you so much for collating all this information!

I'll try to go over this more thoroughly when I have more time but for now:
  • Also agreeing with the above about BP grinding.
  • Correct me if I'm wrong, but I believe regular Bottle Caps can only be fished up on Poni Island, not just any fishing spot.
  • I know it's mentioned under Gift Pokemon but it might be useful to mention the Gold Bottle Cap held by the Surf Pikachu under the Gold Bottle Cap section too. Also, I haven't played Battle Agency at all but apparently Gold Bottle Caps are given by the receptionist from the Battle Agency whenever you beat Sophocles or Giovanni. Doesn't sound like an efficient way to grind for them but it is an alternate method to get them.

hey everyone, I'll be able to work on the suggested changes soon. I had a medical issue this weekend and don't have full use of my dominant hand, so once i'm recovered I'll get the updates done!

I've found a bit more time to go over this and have a few more suggestions.

Firstly, without meaning to add more work for you, do you think it's worth talking about evolutionary items and where to get them? That seems like information that might be helpful for this article's intended audience. Same with Vitamins, Rare Candy and PP Up/PP Max.

Another thing that might be useful is easy ways to get to level 100 for Hyper Training. In particular, the "trick" involving 2 5-star Rare Kitchens would be a useful tip to include in this article.

Some other stuff I spotted:

Nugget:

- Route 1: Behind the Tauros Rocks if you go north on a three-way split.
- Malie City - Outer Cape: Along the shoreline south of a grass patch.
- Seafolk Village: Defeat Sightseer Marcus.
- Ten Carat Hill - Farthest Hollow: Northern area of the hollow.
- Vast Poni Canyon: (Hidden) Small rock at the top of the hill in the first inside area.
- Festival Plaza: Prize 2 awarded at random for using the Gold Rush shop.
- Dropped from overworld Wimpod encounters on Route 8, Poni Breaker Coast, and Poni Wilds
- Pokemon with the Pickup ability (Lv. 1 - 20)
Ultra Sun/Ultra Moon Only:
- Route 5: (Hidden) outside a small hole in the rock face.
- Diglett's Tunnel: (Hidden) Next to the wheelbarrel near the southern exit.
- Hau'oli City: Defeat Gentleman Reginald in the City Hall.
- Malie City: Speak to a man in the Ferry Terminal.
- Vast Poni Canyon (3F): (Hidden) Between 2 holes near the entrance to the area.
  • I believe the hidden Nuggets on Route 5 and in Diglett's Tunnel are also found in Sun/Moon, and are not exclusive to USUM.
  • Nugget's can also be obtained through Poke Pelago.

Everstone:

Prevents a Pokemon holding this stone from evolving. Also guarantees the nature to pass down in breeding.
- Hau'oli City: Talk to Ilmia in his house after defeating him in battle.
- Catch/Thief: Roggenrola, Boldore (50% chance of holding one)
- Shop: Royal Avenue for 16 BP
  • These can also be obtained through Poke Pelago.
Adrenaline Orb:

When used in battle, makes a wild Pokemon more likely to call for help and initiate an SOS battle.
- Shops: Route 1, Route 2, Route 5, Route 8, Route 16, Hau'oli City, Heahea City, Konikoni City, Malie City, Mount Hokulani, Paniola Town, Pokemon League, Royal Avenue, Seafolk Village, Tapu Village.
  • Is it worth noting that, in USUM only, Adrenaline Orbs are required to continue SOS battles after 1 successful call for help? I'll leave that up to you.
  • It's probably easier to say that Orbs can be obtained in any Shop instead of just having a list of them. Also, mention that they only become purchasable after beating three trials.
  • There are a number of other one-off Orbs that can be found on the ground on some routes, etc. Probably not hugely important given that it's easier to buy them but if you're trying to be thorough they probably should be listed. I believe there are Orbs on Routes 4 and 8, and in Memorial Cave, Ancient Poni Path and Resolution Cave - there may be others I've forgotten.
Heart Scale:

Give to the Move Reminder to teach a forgotten move to a Pokemon.
- Exeggutor Island: Examine red plants on northern path after cutscene in cave with Lillie.
- Konikoni City: Eat a meal at the restaurant.
- Seafolk Village: Eat a meal at the restaurant.
- Catch/Thief: Luvdisc (50% chance of holding one)
- Festival Plaza: Can be randomly obtained from Haunted Houses.
- Pokemon with the Pickup ability (Level 51 - 100)
- Malie City: Sushi High Roller. Order the Z-Ronin meal, watch a short cutscene with Nanu, and get 8 Heart Scales for free.
Ultra Sun/Ultra Moon Only:
- Can be obtained from any fishing spot instead of a Pokemon.
- Ancient Poni Path: Speak to Hapu's mother after looking at a book in the Malie Library.
- Hano Beach: Hidden to the east of the Sandyghast (Resets daily)
- Hano Beach: Hidden on the northern part of the beach (Resets daily)
  • The Heart Scales on Hano Beach that reset daily can be found in Sun/Moon too, and not just USUM.
  • I think the Exeggutor Island Scale is Sun/Moon exclusive and is not found in USUM.
MOVE TUTORS:

Sun/Moon/Ultra Sun/Ultra Moon:

Grass Pledge, Fire Pledge, Water Pledge:
- In the Hau'oli Mall, in a blue booth, the right character will teach starter Pokemon from any region one of the Pledge moves. All these moves are special attacks with 80-Base Power, 100 accuracy, and 10 PP.

Frenzy Plant, Blast Burn, Hydro Cannon:
- In the Hau'oli City Mall, in a blue booth, the left character will teach fully evolved starters from all regions these three moves. All three of them are special attacks with 150-Base Power, 90 accuracy, 5 PP, and the user cannot act on the turn after using these moves.

Secret Sword and Relic Song:
- In Hano Grand Hotel, a man in a blue shirt next to a Meowth can teach Keldeo and Meloetta these moves needed for them to change formes. Sacred Sword is a special attack with 85-Base Power, 100 accuracy, and 10 PP, but the move does physical damage and allows Keldeo to enter its Resolute Forme. Relic Song is a special attack with 75-Base Power, 100 accuracy, and 10 PP that may induce sleep when used. This move allows Meloetta to enter the Pirouette Forme.

Draco Meteor:
- A Female Ace Trainer in the left corner of the Seafolk Village Pokemon Center can teach this to any Dragon-type Pokemon, including Arceus when holding Dragon Plate and Silvally when holding Dragon Memory. Draco Meteor is a special attack with 130-Base Power, 90 accuracy, and 5 PP that lowers the user's Special Attack by two stages after being used.

Dragon Ascent:
- An older man in a red shirt in the Seafolk Village Pokemon Center can teach this unique move to Rayquaza. Rayquaza that know this attack can Mega Evolve. Dragon Ascent is a physical attack, 120-Base Power, 100 accuracy, and 5 PP that lowers the user's Defense and Special Defense when used.
  • Might be helpful to mention that the tutors for Draco Meteor, Frenzy Plant/Blast Burn/Hydro Cannon and the Pledge moves require the Pokemon to have high friendship to be taught.
  • Nitpicking, but note that the Elemental Monkeys (Pansage, etc) can also learn the Pledge move of their respective typing. Silvally can also learn Grass Pledge, and ONLY Grass Pledge, in USUM (not SuMo).
EVOLUTION LOCATIONS:

Magneton ->
Magnezone:

- Sun/Moon: Level up while in Vast Poni Canyon
- Ultra Sun/Ultra Moon: Level up while in Blush Mountain

Eevee ->
Leafeon:

- Level up while near the Moss Rock in Lush Jungle

Nosepass ->
Probopass:

Charjabug ->
Vikavolt:

- Sun/Moon: Level up while in Vast Poni Canyon
- Ultra Sun/Ultra Moon: Level up while in Blush Mountain

Crabrawler ->
Crabominable:

- Level up while atop Mt. Lanakila

Pikachu ->
Kanto Raichu:

- Ultra Sun/Ultra Moon: Use a Thunderstone while in Ultra Space

Exeggcute ->
Kanto Exeggutor:

- Ultra Sun: Level up to 25+ between 17:00 and 17:59 with an eligible Rockruff
- Ultra Moon: Level up to 25+ between 05:00 and 05:59 with an eligible Rockruff
  • Nosepass is also able to evolve at Blush Mountain in USUM.
  • It's worth mentioning that Crabrawler can also be evolved in the grass at the BASE of Mount Lanakila in USUM, and not just within the mountain itself. This allows it to evolve much earlier than it could in Sun/Moon.
