Welcome to Smogon! Take a moment to read the Introduction to Smogon for a run-down on everything Smogon, and make sure you take some time to read the global rules.
Would you say it fits as a rain check for TR though? Obviously I won't be relying on it entirely to stop rain, but a gothitelle/ludicolo lead could shut down politoed leads pretty quickly I think. I'm just trying to cover my bases so I don't get messed up by weather teams.
Btw rest of the team...
Can Ludicolo be used as an anti-rain poke in a TR team? How would you use it, swift swim or slow rain dish to use in TR as well?
Also, is Mega-Camerupt good at stopping sun teams with Ancient Power?
Now that Gyarados gets crunch (thank god) where should I put it on my DDance Mega Gyarados set? I currently run:
Gyarados (M) @ Gyaradosite
Ability: Intimidate
EVs: 252 Atk / 8 Def / 248 Spe
Adamant Nature
- Dragon Dance
- Waterfall
- Earthquake
- Ice Fang
But obviously I'd like to find a...
That's probably for gunk shot.
For your ferrothorn set, I would actually recommend replacing protect with thunder wave. Sure protect is useful, but Thunder Wave is practically a staple on most balanced teams in this meta to slow down pokemon like Beedrill.
Not too sure how gimmicky or creative this is, but I'd certainly say it's unconventiional, in OU at least:
Whimsicott (M) @ Leftovers/ Red Card
Ability: Prankster
EVs: 252 HP / 252 Def / 4 SpD
Bold Nature
- Stun Spore
- Encore
- Taunt
- Moonblast / Memento
In a new meta full of speedy megas...
Thanks for all the feedback everyone, it's really great! I've managed to fix something on almost every pokemon so far! I just don't have any feedback on Blastoise yet - is it fine as it is, or is there anything I should change? I feel like it's kinda Eh. I realised that when I was looking for a...
Thank you for some actual, constructive criticism. I actually think I will switch Umbreon out for Chansey, as much as I love it it just really doesn't pull it's weight. Honestly I'll try switching fire blast for swords dance, but it's so useful against so many opposing leads (ferrothorn...
I'm a big fan of trying to give pokemon that are often pushed aside as being 'unviable' or 'outclassed' a chance to shine in the current metagame. So I'm using a surprisingly strong Weezing + Umbreon defensive core, and a Clefable + Metagross offensive core. On top of that, I have Blastoise...
