    it had the largest debut of the series in the UK, outselling all previous entries combined and about 3x new leaf during its launch. it is now second in switch launch sales there (SWSH is #1). insiders and analyst predict it to be a top 3-5 switch seller in the US, so that would place it with the likes of smash, MK8D, and SWSH. keep in mind ntdoy only reports physical sales, so none of these include digital.

    given that new leaf has sold 12 million to date, this is on track to sell somewhere around 18 million or more lifetime when digital is included. it does have lots of media/social media buzz though so it's fw (first week) sales could be much higher than anticipated.

    as of 11/21 Nintendo revealed they sold 6 million units over launch weekend (3 days). i would imagine over Black Friday and with Christmas coming up we'll see a number close to 10m. relative to other games, it's selling faster than XY but slower than SM. it has the largest amount of revenue from any previous entry though due to the $60 price.
