update: i tried to give another chance to mixed sub-punch pikachu. so i made a test team for it in which i did the following changes to reduce my weakness to burns:
ribombee -> araquanid: water bubble gives it a secondary function as a wallbreaker beyond being a web lead. sadly magic coat is...
edit: added important replay. iv'e finally beaten trick room. basically what i did is surprise the player by beating bisharp, he was forced to kll uxie turn 2 and then i sacked ribombee both to keep bisharp alive and get excadrill in to deal with magearna and then get up his rocks. slowbro's...
haha. i guess i understand, come in on a slow tank like toxapex or chansey, sub, then attack with the needed move, and the sub will actually save you from a scarf lando T's fast earthquake/stone edge/kaboom
if i understand you right. this mixed set basically uses subPunch to deal with stall teams without switching out and that annoying leech-protect ferrothorn, volt tackle for max damage vs toxapex and stuff and hp ice to lure you know who(my nickname for landorus t)
In the last few months. iv'e been trying to make pikachu, the franchise mascot and one of my favorite pokemon. viable in competitive play.
first, the issues with pikachu and why nobody picked him over mons like tapu koko while building a team:
as you all know, in the pokemon anime, pikachu is...
i know it's been a while and i tried to make a new team(which also doesn't go up the ladder well) but here is a fun win vs a standard OU team i just got. with my team functioning as it should

i liked the idea. and i admit misses cost matches often. but there are some changes i'd made:
lando->drill - with defog, you are losing your hazards, and so i prefer to have a spinner on those teams so as to keep the hazards up. lead with it before the bee
on ribombee - quiver dance -> skill...
after the fail that was the last pikachu team(sticky webs). i decided not to give up on trying to make the series mascot competitive. and so. i created this HO team.
the strategy is to abuse pikachu's access to extreme speed by adding two other mons with that move and a strong electric type to...
lele works great in webs. especially a stallbreaker set. but shuts down the team's priority.
bulu is a bit on the slow side. it's more in the trick room speed tier
